Wow! I cannot believe the end of the year is SO close. It has flown by. Before we call it quits though, we have a lot of important things to get done and communicate with you! Below is a list of updates that are very important for our EOG preparation & execution.
**Testing week will begin this coming Monday, May 18th.
Monday 18th - Science (teacher made test)
Tuesday 19th - Social Studies (teacher made test)
Wednesday 20th - Math EOG (STATE TEST)
Thursday, 21st - Language Arts EOG (STATE TEST)
**For that entire week lunch will be held after 11 p.m. This is later than our normal lunch time. So please be sure students are getting an adequate breakfast each morning!
**Due to family circumstances, I will not be at school next week. This means that I will not be here for any of the EOG Testing. I apologize for any inconveniences or any uncertainties this may bring! Please be in contact with Mr. Carter and Mrs. Lewis if there are any concerns during that week. And please reinforce and reiterate all school & state policies and expectations for that week while at home with your child.
Our testing coordinator is of course aware of this and has made arrangements regarding testing.
**Every Friday until the end of the year (only three more Friday's) we will be having a Fun Friday. This is basically a 30 minute recess. Each student must earn 25 tickets in order to participate in this Fun Friday. Also, if a student has received one or more silent lunches, he/she will not be allowed to participate.
**This week is spent reviewing material for our tests next week. Math Plus (Core 2 Math) has a project due this Friday!! In Science, your child is reviewing all units from this year. They should have review sheets to be studying as the week goes on!
**As the weather gets warming and as the summer approaches please be mindful if school dress code.
Thanks for all of your help at home!! :)
We couldn't do it without you!
-Mrs. Phillips
