Well...
Who knew we would have yet another week off of school. This has really thrown us all for a loop as far as curriculum and timing goes. Therefore this week will be a very intense week of learning and student participation!! With that said, Benchmark Testing was originally supposed to be this week. Why you ask? Well because it's the end of the quarter on Friday believe it or not. However, I have not been informed whether or not testing will still take place this week. I will try my best to inform you or your students of that information as soon as I am aware. If we do test, students will NOT know all of the information because we have missed two weeks of curriculum. The teachers, school, and county are all aware of this. So no need to let that worry us!!
Because of this crunch time this week (the quarter ends Friday) it is imperative that you be checking your students grades on power school, as well as checking their agenda! I cannot take any student work past this Friday the 6th!! Keep in mind that there will also be less grades in the grade book than in previous quarters because of all the days we have missed.
Below are IMPORTANT DUE DATES for student work:
*Sustainability Guided Notes (Science) were supposed to be due last Wednesday. I went around the room and checked for these today. ALOT of students did not have this done. These are important notes that need to be completed for student comprehension.
*The Travel Brochure due date has now been moved to this Wednesday, 3/4. I gave students time to work on these today in class and will give them some time tomorrow as well. This however, might need to be finished at home.
*Moon Observation Calender due TOMORROW 3/3. Because of so many missed days I am allowing students to catch up with their observations by looking online. This should be an easily deserved 100....
*Soil Conservation Power point - This was assigned WEEKS ago. I have been allowing students to work at their own pace. If this has not been turned in yet, it needs to be turned in by this Friday, March 6th.
Classroom Needs:
**Our classroom is in need of the following items if you are able and willing to donate. **
-Pencils
-Markers
-Colored Pencils
-Crayons
-Notebook Paper
Thank you so much for all of your support at home. Keep checking the WCPSS website to get updates about snow make-up days.
